ME FES: 15 - 16 Oktober 2011
picture me ada udah hampir 5 tahun..woohooo...selama ini dengan segala usaha lahir bathin kiri kanan jungkir balik luar biasa picture me telah berhasil ngobrol sama lebih dari ribuan anak...YUP!..m not lying..
ngobrol untuk meyakinkan banyak anak bahwa mereka adalah a unique individual dan kekuatan yang paling dahsyat untuk merubah dunia ada di dalam diri mereka..realizing one's strength all start from your braveness to express your true color with pride to the whole world. make peace and be friend with yourself...it is the basic starter to be able to define your purpose in life...
selama ini juga picture me berkali-kali bikin pameran...event untuk memberikan outlet kepada anak-anak di picture me untuk berekspresi dan memamerkan karya mereka ke dunia luar...TAPI selama ini yang hadir dan menikmati acara hanya lingkungan terbatas yang bersinggungan dengan picture me...
tapi untuk kali ini di ulang taunnya yang hampir 5 taun "maksa" haha picture me mau kasih kesempatan ini ke siapapun dengan membuat event yang tujuannya "celebrate uniqueness" dan namanya ME FES!..my expression festival..it is an event where everyone can show their true color with pride to the whole world!...
.....can we do it?
the answer is YES tapi definitely picture me harus gandeng banyak pihak untuk memperjuangkan ini bersama-sama...
we'll see! m very optimistic about this..

to my both sons
another thought about this blog...
i may also dedicate this blog to my sons..
who knows one day when i'm already checked out from this world they may be able to understand their 'weird' mom a little bit more through this blog :D

Jakarta School of Art
Jakarta School of Art is my next dream!
i am committed to share my journey in realizing my next dream. who knows someone might find it useful :D one day
the idea behind JSoA - ouchhh i know it's going to be such a HIT!..
SMK, vocational school..to many parents or even to the kidz especially those who live in the city, they tend to look at SMK with their head down!..cuihhh...
i experience that myself when my eldest son graduated from SMP, he is now 16 y.o and go to common public school, he told me his problem of not liking school that much. He wanted to go to school where he can draw all day..haha sounds crazy huh..he once said "stop my nightmare pls mom!"...
i as his mother..pause and think about his proposal. i actually did search for school of his dream and learned that in jakarta there are not many SMK that offer arts and stuff. we (my son and i) then for quite sometime listing down schools that have his criteria of having the freedom to draw all day...whatever that is haha...
we even came and visit those schools...some we visited together and many i visited and gathered information myself.
all of those efforts we did..none actually pass his criteria. his comments when rejected the school: "gedungnya jelek ya bun".."wow it is too far".."ahhh they only name the program as if they are arts school but instead it is only naming in such a way to sound cool but it is ya ipa, ips, n bahasa for arts..." "kok isinya engga asik ya bun..."
u well..YES my son can be such pain in the bla bla..haha..but i want him to go to school of his choice not my choice.
and what suprised me the most were comment made by my friends parents when they found out i was searching for SMK for my son...their comments almost the same..."kenapa SMK? emang anak lo mau disuruh kerja ya?" "ihhh jelek banget lagi SMK..." "norak banget sih kok masuk SMK?"...
HELLLOOOOOO!!!...i came to this conclusion that those who made those comments are ancients parents (don't care whether that is the right term to describe ortu KUNO ENGGA GAUL ENGGA ASIk DAN HIDUP DI MASA LALU!!!) hihi...
then i started to realize that perception of SMK is realllyyyy BAAADDD!!...
uwelll...i failed finding the right SMK for my son and what sad the most was i failed convincing my son to go to SMK simply because he has this thought about SMK that is uncool! only failure go to SMK! only those who cannot afford college go to SMK! bla nd bla nd bla nd bla other reasons that to me sound so stupid!...
i may represent small percentage of parents who believe in SMK and that my son would've been perform better and happier if he was sent to school that can cater his passion. i look at SMK students, those who choose SMK for the right reason, with respect! honestly speaking those students are actually well ahead from those who go to common high school!
from that simple reasons I am convinced that designing and developing a good quality and cool SMK will be my next DREAM!...nothing is impossible when it comes to HELP THOSE YOUNG PEOPLE TO REALIZING THEIR DREAMS!...it all starts from here...bissmillah :D
